The distinguishing characteristic of Vermeer’s paintings was his portrayal of pure, radiant, austere light. It is this combination of subject and style that expose the Poetic Justice of Johannes Vermeer’s sense of human consciousness, our life’s efficacy, and its proper method of functioning. Reason, purpose, pride.

A no pain no gain mindset, and high intensity interval training, are probably bad decisions for most people. In personal finance, bad decisions involve maximum risk tolerance, market forecasts, faulty return projections, beating the market, and staying the course.
The West constructed the road China followed. That China walked faster does not mean that its institutions are superior. Private property, unhampered prices, enterprises, entrepreneurs, and profit are the superior institutions for economic progress.
Grandin’s breakthrough, not considered possible for people living with autism at the time, was her successful integration of scientific inquiry, animal husbandry, and object-visual thinking into a highly productive career.
