Life in Cuba is endless waits for seemingly everything, including basic items like spark plugs, car door latches and….sinks. Something as simple to fix (in the United States) as an inoperative door can take many months in Cuba.

Total spending including all stages of production more accurately reflects an economy’s actual expenditures, according to Skousen. When measuring total spending using business receipts compiled by the IRS, Skousen found that “consumption represents only about 30 percent of the economy.”
This would leave Federal spending limited to: the military, debt service, retirement benefits for Federal employees, and “everything else.” This too could eventually be cut in half over time. At present, these categories constitute 38% of Federal spending, or 7.9% of GDP. This reduced spending commitment could be funded with a much simpler tax system.
Larger firms and organizations and their CEOs are prospering relative to smaller ones. And not just firms like Amazon, Uber, Lyft, and General Motors. Also included are regional hospitals, universities, and the operators of major retail chains. As these larger entities prosper, smaller organizations without lawyers on standby scrap for survival.
But entrepreneurship can be viewed more broadly as being enterprising: assessing the present, and taking individual action to modify it to achieve personal objectives in the future. This better future is never pre-determined, but instead the entrepreneur imagines it as a possibility and creates it step-by-step.
The Federal Reserve has been and is the root cause of all this monetary chaos and crises. That’s what central planning does. That’s what any socialist system does.
